Dr, Ali Al Jassim
His Excellency Ali Al Jassim, Chairman of Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC), is holder of a PhD in Business Management, Masters of Business Administration with Honors and bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. H.E. Ali has 28 years of experience in leading roles in both public and private sectors delivering programs and projects and has held top positions in both sectors. H.E. led and worked with teams on iconic projects in the Emirate of Dubai and on the federal level in the UAE. Examples of these projects are Dubai metro, Noll card, salik, 43 major roads infrastructure projects during 2006, enhancing & elevating drivers training and vehicle licensing services during 2008, unifying drivers licenses and vehicles ownership all over the UAE in 2008/2009, created and established 2 drivers training institutes (schools) in 2012 and 2017, led a government entity and managed a government owned company providing energy services, worked on the 2 largest solar projects in the region and the World 21 MWh on a single roof & 5000 villas roofs in 1 year, and made Dubai a leading city in the region in energy services and retrofit during 2018/2020. Presently, H.E. Ali is leading the Emirates Green Building Council in the UAE, and as a Vice Chair for green building councils for the Mena and North Africa region. H.E. is promoting for green building sustainability, net zero buildings, and climate change actions.
